The best approach to fixing this problem is to work with your Google Workspace for Education admin. They can access, troubleshoot and provide instructions for sign in issues.
Use the Google Classroom app to sign using their personal Google Edu account. You will need their email address and password to continue. On certain device you may need to manage accounts and add the Gmail account directly in the settings of a Android or iOS phone or tablet.
Go to Apps > Manage Apps > Google Classroom > Storage > Clear All Data. Check your connection method is working like data or wifi. Update the Google Classroom app from the Google Play Store.
If you login from your mobile device using Google Classroom using a school account but you still get an error that says, "We are sorry, but you do not have access to Classroom. Please contact your domain administrator for access", then try following these instructions. In the settings for your phone, you need to add a security password. This is app settings requirement. Security passwords are patterns, PIN, facial recognition or fingerprint.
Follow these steps to guide your child to successfully log in to Google Classroom:
Type classroom.google.com in the address bar of your browser
Sign in with the student's username and password
You can also navigate to Classroom from the Google App menu in the top right
Select your role as student
Click on the class name to launch the class page
Take note of the tabs like Stream, Classwork and People
Yes. Google Classroom operates on a model of permissions access via Google accounts, so an account is necessary. You can use a new or existing account. Free Gmail accounts also work with Google Classroom. Complete the sign in and accept terms if you are a new Classroom user.
If you are experiencing issues with signing into your Google Classroom from a Chromebook this might be caused by incorrect accounts. Use Chromebook options to switch accounts to your school student account. Or, create a new user profile from your school workspace domain account and begin a fresh set up.
Toggling multiple Google accounts from the same Chrome browser profile can create issues locking you out of Google Classroom. Sometimes this happens when hopping between different Google Apps. If this is the case, here are some options to fix it:
Log out of all other Google accounts for a specific browser profile instance
Use incognito mode and visit classroom.google.com
Use the account switcher in the top right by clicking on your avatar. It might even suggest this "Don’t see your classes? Try another account"
